Publicly traded gaming company Enthusiast Gaming Holdings Inc. (TSX: EGLX) announced Monday that its esports division Luminosity Gaming will be expanding into League of Legends esports by joining the North American Challengers League (NACL) in Spring 2025.
“We’re very excited about Luminosity’s new entry into League of Legends,” said Alex Gonzalez, SVP of Talent, Gaming & Marketing for Enthusiast Gaming. “The NACL represents an extremely cost-effective way for us to participate meaningfully in League of Legends esports, while the changes to the LCS and NACL promotion system means we have a direct path to promotion into the top ranks of competitive League of Legends in North America if and when we can field a championship roster. We expect to be immediately competitive in our first year in the NACL and plan to work closely with Riot to help grow the North American competitive scene.”
Recently, Gonzalez posted on X about plans for a big announcement on this from the company, including what players would make up the 2025 roster:
We’ll keep it short and simple. For the first time ever, @Luminosity is entering League of Legends. We have one goal for 2025 and that is to promote into @LTANorth. https://t.co/eOswepnjl1

While specific details on its plans within the NACL were not disclosed, the company made a point of highlighting its other product, U.GG, which it describes as the “number one League of Legends analytics platform in North America. The company said that “over 10 million” players are currently leveraging its U.GG property.
Luminosity currently competes in Rocket League, Pokemon Unite, Brawl Stars, Super Smash Bros., Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, and Brawlhalla.
