ESL FACEIT Group announced Thursday that it has named ergonomic chair maker Anthros as the official chair partner for a number of its gaming tournament and festival events.
Financial terms of this new deal were not disclosed, but the partnership will run from 2005 – 2027, according to the announcement.
Under the terms of this new deal, Anthros will provide its ergonomic chair line to attendees, players, creators, and staff during several live events across EFG’s circuits and festivals including ESL Pro Tour – Counter-Strike 2, ESL Pro Tour – Dota 2, ESL Impact, Snapdragon Pro Series, and multiple DreamHack events around the world. Anthros will also be an “official stream studio partner at DreamHack festivals.
For its part, EFG will promote the brand across its broadcasts, at event branding, and on its various social media channels.
“We built Anthros for – and with – the esports community,” said Anthros CEO Steven DuFresne. “Our commitment to gamers is to continually push the boundaries, bringing innovative technologies to the market that maximize player performance, comfort, and health.”
Anthros creates ergonomic seating solutions that promote “comfort, health, and performance” using “science-backed research.” The company is based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and employs around 17 people, according to LinkedIn data.
EFG is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Savvy Games Group—which in turn is owned by the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund and its Chairman of the board is Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler HRH Crown Prince MBS. EFG is home to tournament organizer ESL, Esports Engine, competition platform FACEIT, and esports and gaming festival company DreamHack.
