Talon Esports announced a strategic partnership with game developer Confiction Labs to promote and support RIFTSTORM, a game described by its developers as a “co-op looter shooter ARPG and Roguelite.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Under the terms of this new deal, Talon Esports will help promote the game across Asia using its social media channels and other platforms, and utilize ”its expertise in competitive gaming to playtest the game, and gather feedback from its professional esports players to help balance and create multiplayer gameplay modes that will appeal to “both casual and professional players.”
“We are always looking for innovative games that push the envelope, and RIFTSTORM fits the bill perfectly,” said Sean Zhang, CEO of Talon Esports, in a release. “We can’t wait to introduce this captivating world to our community and help shape its competitive landscape.”
As part of this partnership, both companies will work together to co-develop a series of in-game events, and support the RIFTSTORM alpha playtest (which kicked off on Wednesday and runs until Oct. 30.
