Opera GX named the official web browser partner of the BLAST World Final in Singapore

Global esports tournament company BLAST announced Friday that it has partnered with gaming-focused web browser Opera GX for the upcoming BLAST Premier World Final, set to take place at the Resorts World Convention Centre in Singapore later this month.

Financial terms of this new partnership with Opera GX were not disclosed, but this marks a bit of a milestone for browser, as its first foray into the Counter-Strike 2 ecosystem.

Under the terms of this new partnership, Opera GX has been named the official web browser partner of the competition, with its brand to be featured prominently during the BLAST Premier World Final. The brand will be featured during broadcasts, on social media, and on physical spaces within the arena. In addition, Opera GX will be offering $50K skins giveaway for fans including “Dragon Lore, Howl or Specialist Gloves,” according to a release.

Running from Oct. 30 – Nov. 3, the BLAST Premier World Final marks the end of the BLAST 2024 Counter-Strike 2 competitive calendar, with eight of the world’s top Counter-Strike’s teams competing for a piece of a total prize pool of $1M. The eight teams that made it to this year’s finals are Astralis, FaZe Clan, G2 Esports, Mouz, Natus Vincere, Team Liquid, Team Spirit, and Team Vitality.
