Canada-based esports organization Gaimin Gladiators announced a partnership with gaming and esports peripherals company SteelSeries. The partnership announcement comes on the eve of Gaimin Gladiators preparing to compete at The International, Valve’s annual championship for the 2024 Dota 2 esports season, taking place at the Royal Arena in Copenhagen, Denmark, from Sept. 5 – 15.

Financial terms of the new deal were not disclosed.

“You’ve got to feel confident while playing and to win championships,” said Melchior “Seleri” Hillenkamp, professional Dota 2 player and team captain for Gaimin Gladiators. “I am really comfortable and confident with my SteelSeries Aerox 3 Mouse, and it has helped me in all our major victories, at Esports World Cup and leading up to The International.”

“We are incredibly excited to start working with SteelSeries,” added Joseph Turner, co-founder of Gaimin Gladiators. “Knowing that they are industry leaders in creating not just equipment, but premier experiences for their fans, this partnership wholly matches the ethos of Gaimin Gladiators, and the wider Gaimin Group, bringing premium competitive gaming to the masses.”

Under the terms of this partnership, SteelSeries branding will appear on Gaimin Gladiators jerseys, be featured in social media marketing and content created by players, and more. In addition, both companies will work together to create exclusive content, co-branded events, and merchandise in the future, according to a release.

Founded in 2001, the SteelSeries family of brands includes the main SteelSeries brand, controller accessories company KontrolFreek, and gaming-focused 3D sound company Nahimic. In 2022, SteelSeries joined the GN family through an acquisition.

Gamin Gladiators currently competes in Dota 2, Rainbow Six Siege, Counter-Strike 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, StarCraft 2, Apex Legends, Fortnite, TEKKEN, and Street Fighter. Gaimin’s other sponsors and partners include CoinMarketCap, BNB Chain, Stoneforged, Secretlab, and Winline, among others.
