Broadcast Talent Announced for Elisa Esports Masters Espoo 2024

Elisa Esports announced the broadcast talent that will headline its upcoming Counter-Strike 2 competition, the Elisa Esports Masters Espoo 2024. 

Announced talent includes award-winning esports journalist and content creator Richard Lewis, who will serve as a desk host; Last Free Nation hosts (and prolific esports content creators) Duncan “Thorin” Shields and Alex “Mauisnake” Ellenberg, who will serve as analysts during the event; and popular esports host James Banks, who will serve as the stage host. Two additional talents are to be announced at a later date.

Teams confirmed to participate include B8, JANO, Rebels, ENCE, 9z, and The MongolZ, with two more invited teams to be announced.

The three-day competition is an in-person event taking place Oct. 18-20, at the Espoo Metro Areena in Espoo, Finland. The Espoo Metro Areena is capable of hosting around 7,000 – 8,000 spectators, depending on configuration. The multi-day  Counter-Strike 2 competition will also feature an overall prize pool of $200K USD.

Following a studio phase on Oct. 16-17, the in-person competition will run from Oct. 18-20, with Group A and Group B (best-of-threes) taking place on the opening day at Espoo Metro Areena, followed by two Bo3 semi-final matches on Oct. 19, and the Elisa Open Grand Final (Bo3) and Elisa Masters Grand Final (Bo5) taking place on Oct. 20.

Elisa Esports is part of Elisa Oyj, a Finnish company that provides information and communication technology (ICT) services.
