GameSquare Holdings announced this week a strategic partnership with the National Football League (NFL) to launch a new event series called “NFL 4 THE FANS LIVE.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
NFL 4 THE FANS LIVE aims to “blend the excitement of NFL fandom on gameday” with creator-driven content online and in-person events during the 2024-2025 NFL season. The content series will launch with a multi-city series coinciding with the NFL calendar. GameSquare said that the new series has the possibility for brand partners to unlock “multiple levels of opportunity,” according to a release.
“The NFL believes GameSquare will be instrumental in broadening our engagement with new and existing audiences,” said Ed Kiang, vice president of video gaming for the NFL. “We are excited to see what GameSquare has in store as they bring the NFL 4 THE FANS LIVE creator roadshow to life during the 2024 NFL season.”
While details are still pretty thin on the new series, GameSquare said in a release that the new content series will have a strong focus on engaging with live attendees and fans watching the live streams and offering “friendly challenges” between talent and NFL stars including physical and gaming competitions. Ultimately, the goal of the “fan-first, traveling creator roadshow celebrating tentpole moments of the NFL season” is to engage younger audiences (who may not be paying attention to terrestrial TV platforms) with the NFL during the 2024-2025 season.
