GameSquare Holdings-owned FaZe Clan Esports announced Thursday a new multi-year expansion of what it describes as a “multi-million dollar sponsorship deal” with crypto gambling company Rollbit. The initial deal with FaZe Clan Esports was signed in January.

Specific financial terms of this renewed partnership were not disclosed.

“After a highly successful initial partnership, we are thrilled to deepen our relationship with Rollbit to form a new multi-year, multi-million-dollar sponsorship agreement,” said Erik Anderson, president of FaZe Clan.” As a top global esports team, FaZe Clan provides meaningful exposure to our partners like Rollbit. We look forward to additional opportunities to further grow our historic partnership in the future.”

Under the terms of the expanded partnership, Rollbit will “deepen its sponsorship” of FaZe Clan’s Counter-Strike 2 team. As with its initial deal in January, this expansion remains “focused exclusively outside of the United States,” according to the announcement. That is probably because Rollbit is not legal to use in the United States and U.S. territories. In addition, it is not legal to use for citizens of Aruba, Australia, Belgium, Bonaire, Curacao, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Iraq, Italy, Netherlands, North Korea, Saba, Slovakia, Spain, St Maarten, Statia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, the U.S. and U.S. territories, and the United Kingdom.

It is unclear as of this writing just how this partnership will be expanded beyond traditional means such as logo placement on jerseys, branding on social media and content channels, and traditional social media marketing.
