Esports organization Berlin International Gaming (BIG) announced the release of a new 100-page booklet called “Esports in Germany – In a Global Context” (“E-Sport in Deutschland – Im globalen Kontext”).
The new publication was written with input/support from financial audit firm PricewaterhouseCoopers Germany (PwC Germany), alongside industry experts—including stakeholders in the region such as players, teams, agencies, and companies, according to a release.
BIG’s booklet claims to provide “an in-depth look at the German esports market, enriched with expert opinions, assessments, trends, and future scenarios.”
“PwC and I shared a core idea and common goal: to create a central knowledge platform for German esports within a global context,” said Daniel Finkler, CEO of Berlin International Gaming (BIG). “This booklet not only highlights the impressive development of esports over the past decades but also offers valuable insights and multifaceted perspectives from key personalities, witnesses, and pioneers in the industry. We are thrilled to contribute significantly to the visibility and further professionalization of the industry in Germany with this booklet.”
You can download “Esports in Germany – In a Global Context” for free here, though only a German version of the publication is available, as of this writing.
The report was written by BIG employees Daniel Finkler, Philipp Neubauer, and Christian Chmiel, alongside PwC Germany’s Julia Wilner, Johanna Martina Schmid, and Lars Christian Dach. Experts tapped to provide insights included ESL FACEIT Group, Team Vitality, OMG FUSE, Freaks 4U Gaming GmbH, TaKeTV GmbH, Riot Games, SPORTFIVE, and Shikenso Analytics, among others.
