EA Sports reveals Madden NFL 25 competitive season details for MCS 25

Electronic Arts and the National Football League announced Wednesday the details of the Madden NFL 25 Championship Series (MCS 25). MCS 25 will feature the top Madden NFL 25 players from the U.S., UK, Mexico, Germany, Canada, and Australia competing across six tournaments for a share of an overall prize pool of $1.7M USD throughout the 2024-2025 season.

In addition, EA announced that USAA has been named the official insurance partner of the MCS for the 2024-2025 season. As part of the multi-year deal (financial terms not disclosed), USAA will offer in-game activations, including branded jerseys and a custom virtual stadium aptly called the “USAA Stadium” that will serve as the home to all MCS Madden Ultimate Team gameplay during the partnership.

The competition begins with the “Kickoff Classic” in August and will conclude with the Madden Bowl in February 2025. Registration for the competition is now open.

Beginning in August, the Kickoff Classic will be where players begin their MCS journey, earning MCS points and a chance to win part of $100K in prize money. Taking place during the “Early Access period” (available to those who pre-ordered the Madden NFL 25 Deluxe Edition) before the game’s official global release, the Kickoff Classic will reward the players who can adapt to the new features introduced in this year’s NFL game including “signature styles and Physics-Based Tacking powered by BOOM Tech, and new mechanics with ball carriers,” according to the announcement.

From August through December, EA Sports will introduce MCS 25 Monthly Challenges. Each month competitors will attempt to climb the ranks and hone their Madden NFL skills for a chance to win part of the $600K up for grabs across four competitions tied to “marquee moments” in Madden NFL season: Kickoff Challenge, Most Feared Challenge, Unstoppable Challenge, and Zero Chill Challenge.

Finally, MCS for the 2025-2026 season will see the return of Madden Bowl in February 2025, taking place in the leadup to Super Bowl LIX, where one player will be crowned the best Madden NFL 25 player in the world and take a substantial part of the $1M prize.

Fans can catch all the MCS 25 competitive action on Twitch and YouTube, and find the MCS official rules by visiting maddenchampionship.com/rules.
