Atlanta-based esports organization Ghost Gaming announced Tuesday that it has entered into a partnership with Ultimate Endgamers League (UEL) to launch an expansion team called the Georgia Ghost.

Financial terms and duration of the deal were not disclosed.

With the addition of Georgia Ghost, the UEL now features 14 professional teams. Georgia Ghost joins other regional teams including the North Carolina Reapers, Maryland Ghost, South Carolina Phantoms, MN New Moon, New Jersey Gorillaz, New York Bandits, Virginia Bots, Pennsylvania Cobras, LAxGODS, Florida Ravens, Tennessee Bucks, and Delaware Wolves.

The upcoming UEL Season 9 promises a $1M USD prize pool, player stipends, and wellness benefits, according to a release. The Season 9 Draft will occur on July 27, with the new Georgia Ghost roster competing in 10 regular season matches.

“We are incredibly proud to introduce the Georgia Ghost to our league”, said UEL Founder and CEO Titus Walker, “Partnering with Ghost Gaming allows us to expand our reach and support for talented gamers in Georgia and beyond. This collaboration will enhance our league’s diversity and competitiveness, and we look forward to seeing the impact of the Georgia Ghosts in our upcoming season.”

In addition to fielding a team for the League, Ghost Gaming will work with UEL to identify partner gaming venues across Georgia that are interested in hosting training camps, skills challenges, and generally enhancing the “visibility and development of players across the southeast who aspire to join the UEL.”

Established in 2019, UEL is a U.S.-based professional esports league that focuses on not only competition, but community and skills challenges across more than 20 games. More details about the format of the league and its competitions can be found at ultimateendgamersleague.com.
