The United States Golf Association (USGA) and Ally Financial announced this week the launch of a Fortnite Fan Experience created by UGC developer SuperAwesome. The new fan experience is part of the wider partnership between the USGA and Ally, who was recently named the presenting partner of the $12M USD U.S. Women’s Open.

Financial terms of this partnership were not disclosed.

The custom golf game built in Fortnite Creative will be the focus of the “Tee Time Speedrun,” which will challenge players to play (literally) a quick game of golf across nine holes and three custom courses by being “the ball.” These courses also feature “seamless USGA and Ally branding” across the entirety of the game, according to a release. Players are also vying for a piece of a $25K total prize pool, with the first-place winner taking home $10K and earning a trip to the 2025 US Open.

The partnership with the U.S. Women’s Open is part of Ally’s “commitment to the ’50/50 pledge’ which they launched to reach parity across their paid media spend in men’s and women’s sports.”

Players can learn more about Ally Arena by visiting allyarena.com or joining its Discord channel at discord.gg/allygaming. You can also find it directly in Fortnite using map code 0524-4031-4301. The USGA x Ally Speedrun Challenge is a third-party affair, and is therefore “not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Epic Games.”

The activation is the latest effort between SuperAwesome and Ally; In 2023, Ally launched the “Ally Arena” in Fortnite Creative, followed by fan experiences in partnership with Hendrick Motorsports (48 Island Skyland) and the NSWL (Athletically Skyland).

In March, esports tournament organizer Raidiant and Ally worked together to launch the Influential Voices in Gaming awards, which recognized individuals in gaming and esports that have “played a pivotal role in propelling the esports and video games industry forward.” Also in March, Ally extended its partnership with Rocket League Esports to add a focus on offering more opportunities to women in esports.
