The Esports World Cup Foundation announced this week that it has partnered with LG UltraGear Gaming Monitors for the upcoming Esports World Cup, taking place from July 3 – Aug. 25, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We are thrilled to have LG UltraGear, a pioneer in gaming technology, as a Main Partner of the Esports World Cup,” said Mohammed Al Nimer, Sales Director at EWCF. “The EWC is the ultimate platform for brands like LG UltraGear to connect with a passionate and expanding audience at the heart of competitive gaming. This partnership exemplifies our commitment to creating meaningful collaborations that enrich the fan experience.”

Under the terms of this new partnership, LG UltraGear will serve as the main partner and exclusive gaming monitor sponsor, providing use of its products to esports athletes and fans during the eight-week esports competition. Approximately 990 LG UltraGear OLED gaming monitors (model 32GS95UE) will be in use during league matches and at LG’s booth at EWC, according to a release.

LG Ultragear will also have branding during broadcasts, in venues, and host interactive booths demonstrating the capabilities of the company’s latest line-up of monitor product line, and offer coaching sessions run by the LG-sponsored Gen.G Global Academy for a chance to win prizes.

LG Ultragear is one of several sponsors and partners announced this week; other sponsors and partners include Pepsi, Adidas, Bayes Esports, KitKat, stc Group, and Audiotool.

The Esports World Cup is a multi-week, multi-discipline esports competition running from July 3 – Aug. 25, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, funded by a grant from the Saudi Arabian government, while competitions are being facilitated by ESL FACEIT Group, which is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Savvy Games Group. Savvy is owned by the Saudi government’s Public Investment Fund and its Chairman of the board is Saudi Arabia’s de facto ruler HRH Crown Prince MBS. EFG is home to tournament organizer ESL, Esports Engine, competition platform FACEIT, and esports and gaming festival company DreamHack.
