Skyesports Showdown gives Counter-Strike 2 fans in India a chance to compete for $12K USD.
India-based tournament operator Skyesports announced this week the Skyesports Showdown, an INR 1,00,000 (roughly $12K USD) “open-for-all” Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament.
LG-owned gaming monitor brand LG UltraGear will serve as the presenting partner of the competition, while international semiconductor manufacturer AMD is serving as the “Powered by” sponsor.
Registrations for the Skyesports Showdown are currently open here. Players interested in competing can register with a team of at least five players and two optional substitutes. An open qualifier takes place May 28 – 29, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs (double-elimination bracket, bo3 format) from May 31 – June 2—which will be livestreamed on the official Skyesports YouTube and Twitch channels.
The Skyesports Showdown will be followed by the Skyesports Championship, a $200K Counter-Strike 2 esports tournament featuring international teams—that competition will take place from July 23 – 28 as an in-person LAN event in India.
